In the meantime Andreas Raab put out on SM a Balloon3D package for 3.8 
(thank you Andreas for working late yesterday!!) which loads fine into a 
3.8gamma-6527 and includes some fixes.

It is filed under category '3.8beta' although it works as well under gamma.

Could you please add a '3.8gamma' and/or '3.8' category please?
