I setup that 3.8 script and tested last week.  It worked as of last
week and probably should continue to work today (with 3.8 gamma).

Huge -- maybe, but it represents the software that I use in my
standard image.  The nice thing about the script is you can setup your
own edition with minor tweaks by slurping the contents of that site,
and reworking it to your liking.

Think of that script as more of a template for building install
scripts if you like.
