I got bit by this too, so I added a troubleshooting blurb about this on
the BFAV2 swiki page:

Would it make any sense to replace the in-image HTTPClient code with the
more full-featured HTTPClient package that the BFAV uses? Quite a few
people have been using the BFAV which depends on it, so it's probably
reasonably robust.
Ooh, wait a minute, I see that the HTTPClient package is ported from
Dolphin, and is not under Squeak-L. So, maybe not. (unless it is under
MIT or somesuch)
