On Squeakmap, there is now an extended version of Shapes, the ESRI shapefile format reader.
I added the 3D shape file types. As a next step I will explore how shapefiles can be used to import geographic data into Croquet worlds.
Another step to take: using the XBase file reader/writer (also new on Squeakmap) to get at the attributes of the shapes in a shape file, it will be relatively easy to build a nice shape file viewer.
