This sounds cool, Matthew!

Have you looked at the BottomFeeder blog browser?  It has some kind of
support for using searches to stand in as channels.  I don't know if
that's the same as what you do.  Whether it is or not,  it may make
interesting readin for you to see what another tool is doing.  Also,
maybe this would be a good feature for Squeak's BlogBrowser; perhaps you
should contact 	Ram Krishnan <rkris at kriyative.net> and talk about it?
