Ian's source is just a snapshot of the SVN sources at some point
in time at which Ian apparently thought they were stable enough
to be published.

Good question, and the answer is I don't know. FWIW, I do know that
loading the VMMaker from SqueakMap into a 3.7 image seems to work
nicely.
