For November:

We had a mailing list issue where an individual message appeared on the
Squeak-Dev list many hundreds of times. As quickly as we could be
blocked the reception of this message and removed copies waiting to be
sent from the outgoing queue. It turned out to be a problem at gmane
and not the fault of the sender at all. We contacted Lars Magne
Ingebrigtsen hand he handled the problem quickly and efficiently.

Our previous Bytemark virtual server (box1.squeakfoundation.org) has now
been officially cancelled. If some service seems to be missing that may
be why. Let us know.

Late in the month the lists got suddenly quiet and we wondered what had
happened. Eventually we discovered that our server had been listed in
the SORBS ( http://www.us.sorbs.net/ ) dialup black list. Any server
that uses this list to block spam will block all mailing list messages.
We are working on this but having a hard time getting SORBS to remove
us. There are indications that it is a known issue that SORBS has
problems and should not be used any longer. Maybe you should consider
that if you are having trouble.

I want to thank the community for the montary support
needed to fund these boxes and remind them that the bills continue to
appear and that you can currently contribute to the hosting bills by
going to

http://discuss.squeakfoundation.org/

and clicking on the 'Make a Donation' button at the top right.

The services being hosted have continued to grow and include (but are
not limited to):

http://www.squeak.org/

SqueakMap - http://map.squeak.org/

http://ftp.squeak.org/

http://lists.squeakfoundation.org/

http://discuss.squeakfoundation.org/

http://source.squeakfoundation.org/

and DNS services for squeak.org and squeakfoundation.org domain names.
