Here's the files team report:

Nothing has happened since the last report. Zilch. Nada. Nothing. :)

That was mostly the plan, and I think it's still an idea to hold off
too large changes to the Files package (which is what the Files team
is all about) until 3.9a gets rolling and all the big hard bits have
been added to it.

However, after that, the idea still is to do a thorough overhaul of
everything Files, so if you have any ideas on that, please join the
mailing list now.
