My 2 cents: I used VW with namespaces, and Java with namespaces, and both  
not in hobby projects but in multimultimanyear projects. The way they've  
implemented them, I don't like them.

Ok, another cent: partitioning (Squeak-E, Islands style) probably solves  
that problem and a slew of others as well.
