Are all those pre-release QA procedures known and understood by the 
community or at least those involved in the current release process?

Just curious. It would be ashamed to allow good QA practices slip away.

Maybe those involved in the new processes can establish what our new or 
current best practices are with regard to pre-release QA.

Just a thought.
