I've build a plugin that interfaces to os-x's SpellChecker.

There is a change set, and a plugin.

The change set includes a SUnit, and a interface class that will be  
at some point be folded into a generic
offering. If some mac users could try it out and let me know of  
issues, that would be great. To confirm it
works, you need to run the SUnit.
