But some Deutsche actually did it (if my EEPROM cells are not defunct),  
not by nation but by language region: in 1970 Wirth developed the language  
named Pascal (well known by all of you -> Apple, Mac),

Wirth was born in Winterthur, Switzerland, which belongs to the German  
Language Region (besides the italian, french and raeto-romanic language  
regions) of Switzerland and same so with ETZ and Zuerich (a city in the
