Hi!

I realize you are not from Sweden, but anyway:

A year ago (or something) I bought a Zepto 4200 (www.zepto.se) and it is
a great machine. Internationally it is known as a Compal
(www.compal.com) CL56 and is also apparently known as Chembook 2056,
Powernotebook 5:6, Fragbook TL, LittleBit Snapper Z72.

It is quiet, has a 1400x1050 screen, Centrino (802.11g and a Pentium-M
which is a fast but very quiet CPU) and a fast Radeon card. It is also
pretty thin, of reasonable weight and has won comparative tests in
magazines.

One of the nicest things IMHO with Zepto is that I could get the machine
*without an OS*! Adding XP Home costs 650 SEK (= 650/7.8 = $83). But I
bought it to use Linux on it and all the hw is fully functional
including accelerated X.Org using Ati's fglrx driver.

Recently I got a Dell Latitude D810, and disregarding the very nice huge
screen (1920x1200) I don't really like it. It has poor battery life
(probably because of the screen though) and is much thicker, heavier
than the Compal and one of the keys is already ystarting to act funny?
Which one? Perhaps (and this was actually not on purpose) yoyu notice
that a few spurious y's are appearing. :)

regards, Göran
