Yes. I love the developement branch of Squeak, and for instance Linux.

But If I want to introduce Squeak to my co-workers and bosses, I need 
strong arguments about stability and so forth.
A small company cannot (and would not do for free) bug fix alone a old 
squeak release.
Even better, in my all day work we have sometimes retrofeedback-ed the 
bug fix of the stable branch to the developement one!
This is true important!
Zope and PHP are good example of what I am saying.
Even Ruby offers a good support to starters!
I do not think we need much money or so on... we need to be presuaded of 
this way of working.
The same people can work on the two branch if needed....I do not want to 
let alone the happy guys on the (funny) dev stream ;)
