Because 15-20 years ago, when Smalltalk was pushed by large companies,
it attracted a lot of untrained logo spinners and gave Smalltalk an
undeserved bad reputation.

So, personally, I rather have quiet organic growth. I don't need to
have everyone on Smalltalk. Rather not - life is good now that I'm
ahead of the competition, and I'd rather keep it that way :-)

Please, let the unwashed masses and PHB's drool over .NET and Java and
burn gazillions of dollars into it. That allows me to have
unprecedented cost benefits.

(One of the things that killed Jini was exactly that - the benefits
for the few early adopters where so huge that they had everything
tightly sealed under NDA's as not to wake up the competition, giving
the world the impression that there were no succesful Jini
projects...)
