Dear Squeakers,
welcome to the The Weekly Squeak Summary, a weekly report on what's
going on in the world of Squeak based on the Weekly Squeak blog.
Highlights of the week:
Around the image, some development is going on, and problems need to
be solved. As for development, Colin Putney has posted a roadmap for
OmniBrowser development, a likely future replacement of the standard
system browser [1]. Recent images require some looking-into; there
appears to be a freezing problem that needs to be documented by anyone
willing to help [4].
News related to the commercial world bring us two offers this week: a
job offer at Cadence [10], and an iPod offer for a nifty improvement
of just about any possible kind [5] to Gjallar, the open-source issue
tracker written using Seaside and Magma. (I've seen Göran's demo at
OOPSLA, it's pretty impressive.)
