This will work fine with a manually saved mcm. MCM also has a feature  
to look for the "latest" versions of packages, which works still fine  
if you employ sane naming practices.

But since MC does not enforce a particular file naming scheme this  
might fail if different repositories use conflicting version numbers  
for the same package.
