According to

	http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=squeak

there is no ubuntu package named "squeak-plugins".

Well, are you sure the ubuntu package comes with FFI? If so, it should  
be listed in

	Smalltalk listBuiltinModules

because it is not an external module:

	http://packages.ubuntu.com/en/hardy/i386/squeak-vm/filelist
