Yes, you did misunderstand my motivation.

The scope of my pursuit was to fix a piece of code that progress broke. Along the way that included inventing a new way to make that code work. Then I needed to sell that new way to our gatekeepers.

Your task of documenting and providing user help was out of scope of my current efforts. So for me it was a diversion from my primary goal. Looking at what you were assuming I suspect you were projecting your goals on to mine.

Nothing wrong with that except for me the timing. I just need to protect myself from distractions at the moment. Thus the distancing behavior.

Forgive me if it felt harsh.
