I have done my damnedest to get people to manage packages like  
Monticello and SUnit externally, but it doesnt work.

Monticello is as far as I know is maintained in trunk. (it shouldnt  
be), it should be integrated in from elsewhere.

Non of my changes are developed in the kernel. Everything I do is a  
loadable optional thing.
