You shouldn't load Metacello by hand. Just load the ConfigurationOfVMMaker 
from squeaksource.com/MetacelloRepository , then evaluate 
[ConfigurationOfVMMaker load] (if it doesn't work try 
[ConfigurationOfVMMaker project latestVersion load]).
