  I got back to it and just found a way to do it without plugin.
Since "Undo" and "Clear" are grayed out in the Cog VM's Mac OS menu,
I can assign Cmd-h and Cmd-q to those from the "Keyboard Shortcut"
preferences and effectively kill these shortcuts.  Cool.
