The VPSs at ARP are quite close to the metal.  I'm confident that we
could get the performance we need, with the added reduction of risk by
having the ability to migrate the entire setup to new hardware at a
moment's notice, automatically by the ISP.

That would certainly be solved by moving to ARP.  Not to mention it
being primarily in LA instead of somewhere further away.
