Elliot,

The biggest problem with Smalltalk is it was never finished, either as a
computer language or as an operating system. The whole library should have
been managed like the Terse Guide, instead of allowing non-terse garbage
additions like the HALO around windows. It seems many Smalltalk sandbox
players never had a life where they learned computers were invented to
automate things instead of make partially developed features that actually
require more human work and telling everyone else to join in and do the
work that should have been done before the new feature was released.
Another parallel is with the mess that is Christianity today compared to
the original Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Here is my effort toward straightening out Christianity.
www.TheManChild.org Maybe you can learn how pursuing truth could
straighten out computers instead of engaging in another international
Smalltalk like hype fest as has taken hold in Neural Network based
Artificial Intelligence.
