I have no desire to "get you" as protect Squeak by simply reminding that
this is a commons area with maximum breadth of impact and permanence of
what we put there.  In no other part of the code model do we appreciate
duplication, and this is one that we currently can't even trim away
individually, like you can your email client.  So, I wish I could
understand your opinion better on this one since, as I said, a merge is
just a merge, putting more into the version notes can actually be
confusing.  You already read about the original change going into trunk why
again?  Anyway, that's why I myself would not care for changing the mail
diff to generate that but, if you and/or Jakob feel strongly and want to do
that, I would respect that compromise since it allows us to protect that
commons area (the ancestry).

Well, you got me on that one. I conceed the point :-)

Nevertheless, I stand by my opinion that the method comment for
Morphic-nice.1635 is a good thing. I appreciate being able to easily
see the summary information directly in the merge commit notice.
