Hi All,

    interesting.  Indeed the simulator generates the correct code, and the
image is functional:

00001cdc: ldr r0, [pc, #8] ; 0x0000000000001cec a(n) Global
00001ce0: ldr r7, [r0, #12]
00001ce4: mov r5, r7
00001ce8: mov pc, lr

So there's a Slang bug.
