[squeak-dev] Can we send notifications to squeak-dev about new entries in the update map?

Hi Jakob,

the mailing list is a lot about technical details, right? :-) I think these notifications would rank on a similar level as all the "Complements" versions to the Trunk. Sometimes, they are not very interesting, but in other situations, they help more people to participate in the process by learning about it, reviewing the configuration, or even discussing it. It would provide us with another - rarely updated - stream of artifacts that document the development on the list.

Personally, I am learning these days how to configure the update stream correctly, so I would like to lurk these notifications ... Anyway, we could also use the packages list (which also receives notifications about treated versions) if no one else wants to read this. :-)

Best,
Christoph

How do you think about this proposal, and would this be a simple change in the configuration or require some deeper work on the SqueakSource side? :-)
