Hi Bruce --

This is great. -.-" Not only did primitive 126 never fail even if advertised in the comments, there is even code that does not bother to check for #ifNil: when calling #deferUpdates:. That is, there is even code in older images that now *expects* that primitive to never fail.

If will fix that for 6.0 and 5.3...

Best,
Marcel

P.S.: This is not a macOS Catalina x86 bug. This will happen for both "-metal" and "-core-graphics" backends but not for "-opengl", which still works in Catalina.

Hi,

I downloaded http://files.squeak.org/trunk/Squeak6.0alpha-21739-64bit/Squeak6.0alpha-21739-64bit-202205110711-macOS-x64.dmg [http://files.squeak.org/trunk/Squeak6.0alpha-21739-64bit/Squeak6.0alpha-21739-64bit-202205110711-macOS-x64.dmg] to test the new VM on MacOS x86-64 Catalina.

The MacOS version is 10.15.7.

It seems ok until I open a MVC project and then it hangs with a black screen.  It pegs the CPU.

I've attached the SqueakDebug log produced.

Ideas?

Thanks.

bruce
