I just noticed there is already project "squeak" on sourceforge.net
with interesting message from SF team saying Squeak is not open-source
project: <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://sourceforge.net/support/noss_exception.php?group_id=5506">http://sourceforge.net/support/noss_exception.php?group_id=5506</a><br>
Further on, summary considers this project as widely available on many
platforms, however there are only files published regarding Win32
virtual machine.<br>

This can easily scare off some IT managers examining what is Squeak
good for, or approving acceptance of project based on Squeak. Perhaps
it would be useful if project's admins could publish a little page
explaining license issues and pointing to <a
href="http://minnow.cc.gatech.edu/squeak/159">relevant wiki pages</a>.<br>

Meanwhile, it would be possible to establish our own <i>forge</i>
similiar to <a href="http://rubyforge.org/">RubyForge</a> site which
is based on <a href="http://gforge.org/">GForge Project</a>. There is
already support for tracking bugs, patches and feature requests. Each
project can have its own forum and mailing lists and <a
href="http://gforge.org/projects/gforge/">more</a>. For simplicity
sake a particular project's home page can point to its SqueakSource
page. Probably very first projects would be enrolled for VM development
and basic/full image distribution.<br>

I don't know. Would the community welcome to have something like
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://forge.squeakfoundation.org">http://forge.squeakfoundation.org</a> for homing Squeak's core and other
projects? In near future maybe I will have my own server connected to
the backbone here in Czech Republic, but it is too soon to say.<br>
