Many thanks for the bug report. I have somehow missed the discussion in
January, but had no problem reporoducing the bug today.<br><br>
<b>I have found two problems with 3.8; the one you reported and one that
could cause lots of subtle trouble in many packages:<br>
!!! #foo was equal to 'foo' asText in 3.7. This is not the
case in 3.8 !!!<br><br>
</b>I believe I have fixed these problems in BabySRE, the new release is

<b><i>BabySRE-TRee.39</i></b>. I suppose this clears

The first bug was my override of a library method. It is clearly risky
that a package can change or override any method in the system. I wish we
could invent a safer way of realizing something similar.<br><br>
PPS.<br>
Squeak 3.8 doesen't seem to be official in spite of all announcements:
