For most of us good news are that Newspeak is being developed by a small team of incredibly experienced Smalltalk/Language architects for their own needs and they know what they do for sure. Vassily says it works and works well. They say - we listen :) The whole thing is their own business, but they kindly convinced management to release the result to the public. It is disappointing that such a great initiative is being described in not so nice terms. <br>
