Just a quick note to everyone involved in this ongoing discussion about, well, no comment....

I'm surprised to see so much action on the list but, as far as I can remember, I have never subscribed to keith-dev, andreas-dev, whoever-dev or my-ideas-are-better-than-yours-dev mailing lists. Let's keep it cool guys and let's stop the useless "ad hominem" attacks and "arguments".

Just as in every election, the elected ones might not be your favorite candidates. They might not promote your ideas or opinions about "how things should be and in which direction we should be going". That's called democracy. It's not perfect, but so far that's the best solution the "civilized world" has found. It's based on the premises that "it makes a MAJORITY happy", but not
everyone...

I spent too many hours reading stuff that does not bring anything intelligent nor rational into the discussion. If ideas have technical merit, then present them. Just the ideas. I'm not interested by "who's commited more packages", "who's been on the mailing list since 1997" or whatever not related to ideas. If they're good, they will survive and the community will benefit from them and adopt them in the long run, whatever the board "says"... The board is not a dictatureship, it's a guide.... Nothing more, nothing less. They represent the (emphasis here) MAJORITY. As I said, not everyone but a majority of us. This is not a beauty contest and quite frankly, like many others, I'm pretty much fed up with the ongoing destructive "discussion" that is taking place here. Fortunately, we all do share one common thing : we want SqueakPharo/Whatever to progress. Let's not forget this
before we click on "Send".

Back to your browsers gentlemen. And let's keep it cool, civilized, polite and respectful please.

My 2 cents.

-----------------
Benoit St-Jean
Yahoo!
