You might test too using <a href="http://www.mirandabanda.org/files/Cog/VM/VM.r2219/cogwin.zip">cogwin.zip</a>. If it doesn't crash then it's either a difference between the standard platforms JPEG plugin files and the Cog platforms JPEG plugin files (unlikely) or a difference between gcc 2.95 (standard VM) & gcc 3.4.4 (Cog).</div>

I repeated the same experiment on Mac OSX 10.6.4 with VM 4.2.5beta1U and found no problems at all.<br>
