Why don't you think so? This is guaranteed behavior since Squeak 5.3 as already stated by Marcel. It's an explicit feature.<br>

Whoops, thanks for the report! Authentication and spelling slip should both be fixed in System-ct.1240 (inbox, you can check it out via Squeak Inbox Talk :D). Your testing would be appreciated because I don't have an authentication-free SMTP server at hand, so I could not try this out myself ...<br>
