It seems I stumbled on the only dialog case where the problem <br>

manifests and incorrectly attributed it to all cases. Sorry. <br>

It's how I typically exit the image gracefully -- Alt+F4, followed by <br>

one of the keys (Y or N, with ESC to cancel). I'm on Linux. <br>

It now only works after the Hand has graced the dialog, <br>

until then it won't respond to any of the keys, and ESC will also <br>

produce a menu and allow further input outside the dialog. <br>
