wenn I create a text, change the font to (e.g.) "Verdana 20", and then 
try to make it italic, the VM crashes. No error notice, debug log, or 
anything, it just quits. Any idea?

I used a current 3.7alpha #5595 image. I saved the fonts on Windows, 
loaded them into the image on OSX (along the lines of 
http://aspn.activestate.com/ASPN/Mail/Message/squeak/1014124). But the 
non-native italicization is ugly, it inserts huge spacing between 
characters. So I moved the image to XP and there it crashes.
