[ENH] PNGReadWriter writing support & alpha fixes ( with fix for gzip CRC generation )

Sorry, folks... my refactor of writeFooter had broken gzip generation.

Enclosed is Andreas' V6 with one method fixed so we can actually write
proper CRCs on gzip files.

Anyone feel like making a test suite for gzip and zip files?
