Hi,

What I have done first was the french part of the template for differents
languages adding french to the already existings languages and some changes
directly in the code substituing french to the english strings.

That way scripting system and some menus used by E-toys were translated.

What I am doing now is to translate a large part of squeak like it was done
in Japan by Yoshiki. (Yoshiki.Ohshima at acm.org ). But the Japan work is using
a different character code on 24 bits instead of 8.

I 'am, working for the standard image and iso code.
This time the right way, that means with all translations in an unique
dictionary.
I have used the work done for German,(sorry I have not retrieved the message
posted here about German, so I can't tell you who has done this work)
starting from this german dictionary .
The good news for them, is that ther template will work for german.

This german translation is working in the japanase squeak.image too but with
problems for accents.

Best Regards
