What version does it say it is (World menu / help / about this system)?
The image versions are independent of the VMs, but depending on how you got
your Linux and Windows packages/installers, you may have older versions.
Also, the Squeakland release is actually more or less equivalent to 3.8a (or
is it 3.9a now?) with some additions and multilingualization.
If you want, you can use the image that came with your Windows installer under
Linux. It won't care. Just tell Squeak to use it. If you want you could copy
the .image and .changes files instead:
$ mkdir linuxSqueak
$ cd linuxSqueak
$ cp /path/to/windows/squeak/squeak.* .
$ squeak
--
