Hi Ken,

I realize you are trying to wrap things up with speed.

I point to this bug because it is an important one. 

It fixes a problem with font instability
 which will leave the squeak release open to critisim. 
It was caused by 3.10 changes. 
It is not a bug present in other squeaks. 

An empty font registry can be the cause of many problems
 besides the symtoms in the report.

This is such a large bug its presence blocks
 uncovering the next font problems. 
This is my main concern. 
I am presently tracking many known font problems. 
Its important to get this bug out of the way
 so that feedback doesn't get stuck pointing to problems related to it.

I encourage you to get this one harvested as early as possible.
