To a significantly large number of people, it is far (vastly,
extremely, infinitely) more important to have a rock-solid out-of-date
platform than one in which all the latest bells and whistles (almost)
work. The 3.7 Unix VM is going to be very important to many of these
people for a long time yet. Delivering a broken 3.7 final (or one that
they cannot reproduce reliably for themselves from scratch) would be
nothing short of irresponsible.
