[Vm-dev] Odd image lock-up on Unix

I've attached a sqUnixSocket.c that I had poked at earlier in the   
year. It has a lot more error checking for errors after
system calls.

Note the call to SysBeep() can be commented out, they were in there  
for debugging purposes.
