[Vm-dev] VM release question

If you follow the readme in the macintosh dev Documentation directory  
(Mac OS/vm/Documentation/readme)  to the letter you should get  
similar performance
to the 3.8.18beta1U vm on my ftp site.

Failure to do *all* the steps results in poor performance.
