That's a nice idea, and hopefully SqueakSource 3 is implemented that way, 
but squeaksource.com uses SqueakSource 1. I guess it uses some old 
version of Squeak (3.9 maybe), where the diff algorithm, MC, collections, 
streams, compression and the VM are much slower than what's available 
today.
