I would definitely treat the threaded VM as experimental for now.  It is in
development (stalled due to lack of time), bleeding edge and very much not
ready for prime time. I used to use it regularly on Mac but then it started
locking up.  I plan to get back to it this year sometime, but right now it
is "use at your own risk" and not something to inflict on the unwitting.
