Hi Dave,
I did not have time to test the Smalltalk script, but I compiled an
already generated interpreter VM with gcc 4.6.3.
Passing the tests didn't cause any crash, so it seems that despite it
is relying on some UB, we can still compile with a recent gcc, and
that the -fcaller-saves problem only strikes the COG VM...
