[Vm-dev] [unix] Crash on OpenSuse 13.1

I tried Etoys To Go on my fancy new Ubuntu laptop. The Multimedia category
opens without problems, and the CameraPlugin is working. So possibly the
issue is specific to OpenSuSE 13.1.

Having said that, I notice also that Etoys is looking for /dev/dsp which
does not exist on my system. Possibly Ubuntu has been messing around
with the /dev naming conventions.

I can also confirm that the window manager on Ubuntu seems be be even more
screwed up than originally thought. We had a previous report from Scratch
(but applicable to all Squeak) of the return from full screen mode resulting
in a blank Squeak window. This applies to Etoys also, but even worse is the
effect of resizing the Etoys window. If I try to enlarge the Etoys window,
it evidently begins chatting with the window manager, ultimately resulting
in an Etoys window that shrinks to a thin vertical bar.

I strongly suspect that the problems lie on the Ubuntu side, but it certainly
would not be good for a child to try Etoys (or Scratch) on a new Ubuntu
system and find problems like this :-/
