A few suggestions:
Make sure these preferences are off: maintainHalos, magicHalos and
mouseOverHalos
Call chain in Morph to get the halo is
Morph>>handleMouseDown:
Morph>>blueButtonDown:
Morph>>addHalo:
HandMorph>>popUpFor: event:
