yes a new vm is needed,

but I don't know which vm the opensmalltalk-vm script is trying to load
exactly (nor if you are using these)...

That's not all.
Also you cannot run the application from the downloads folder

I don't have installed this os yet, so these are not first class
instructions, but some managed to do it.
