Hi All,

see https://github.com/sponsors/OpenSmalltalk/waitlist. If we wanted to
join this programme several questions come to mind, or are explicitly asked
in the application form.

- philosophical;what are the aims? Grow the number of collaborators, put
food on the table, increase the usage of Smalltalk and/or the OpenSmalltalk
VM, etc?

- tricky; if at least some of the funds are allocated to put food on the
table, how do we share the funds so that contributors are fairly
compensated but people, who dominate the number of commits such as myself
and Nicolas don't take all the funds and hence discourage new people from
joining? How do we evaluate each other's contributions? Metics such as
number of commits, lines of code per commit, etc are just begging to be
gamed and abused. So how this is done is crucial. What are our aims?

- practical; where is the bank account/country. If funds are to be
disbursed to participants, how would this be done?

_,,,^..^,,,_
best, Eliot
